We are looking for partners from all `Europe for Citizens` programme countries.
Description of project:
We are society for active citizens, named RAVNOTEŽJE (BALANCE)and we are located in village
(about 800 residents) near Ljubljana. Members are over 50 years old.
The purpose of the Society:
The association is a voluntary, non-profit and independent association of individuals who share
the desire for open and free society. In accordance with the principles and mission of an open society
(ie society in which they are nationals on matters of common interest willing and eager to participate
actively in decision-making process), the purpose of the Association to raise awareness and reflection,
advocacy, support, encouragement and promotion of:
- The principles of open society,
- The development of active citizenship and European citizenship
- Public debate on social issues and development challenges
- Cooperation between public, NGOs and civil societies, organizations and institutions,
- Intergenerational interaction at local level between the European countries.
Activities to pursue the objectives of society is divided into five sections:
1. Preparing for attending lectures, consultations, seminars, and professional meetings
2. Singing for fun
3. Preparing excursions, visits, meetings in Slovenia and Europe
4. Intergenerational cooperation
5. Sports activities
We are looking for partners, who like to share ideas and experiences with citizens
from others counties.
