SUMMARY OF THE PROPOSITION
SUBJECT: Innovating & Intra cultural Ideas for Rehabilitation in the EU for the year of «SOCIAL COHESION»2010
Our main objectives in this project is to create an intercultural dialog platform, where we can discuss Health and Disability matters, to promote innovative ideas in rehabilitation and to facilitate the accession of all persons with health problems, back to society by cultivating Social Cohesion.
So we welcome all kinds of organizations to become our partners and to join our multi Thematic Network. You can offer us, your innovative ideas during our debates and you can demonstrate your methods in our workshops, in front of all the special participants.
In this project we have invited, Patients & Disability NGOs, Rehabilitation Centers, Universities, Physiotherapist & Kinisiologist Unions, Psychologists and other foundations that offer support.
Join this project and be with us on November 25 - 28 2010.You can join us under one of two statuses:
· As a promoter of a new rehabilitation method
· As an active participant in our actions
Partners Obligations:
Partners will cover the 75% of the cost of their air ticket to Cyprus and the ESFC will cover all the accommodation and the rest of the traveling expenses here in Cyprus.
MAIN AIMS:
1. Our main objectives in this project is to create an intercultural dialog platform, where we can discuss Health and Disability matters, to promote innovative ideas in rehabilitation and to facilitate the accession of all persons with health problems, back to society by cultivating Social Cohesion
2. Our most important aim is the DEVELOPMENT OF KNOWLEDGE on European subjects, and in our case the consolidation of human rights of patients and persons with disabilities. This is a group of persons who ere in disadvantage and who need support for their Social Incorporation.
3. The Intra cultural Dialog and the Intra cultural approaches, together with the introduction of the European Added Value, on the subject of Rehabilitation of Persons with Disabilities and Deceases and their Social Incorporation.
4. The Acknowledgement of our European Identity and Citizenship, through the wealth and the respect to our multi cultural aspect.
5. To put forward an Interaction between Active Citizens and the Organizations which express them (NGOs), through the Multi thematic European Network witch will be developed.
6. Finally our target is the sustainable development of a European Multi thematic Network, which will put forward synergies among its members, which will cover as many subjects as possible and from all country members of the EU and beyond.
TARGET GROUPS
• The NGOs of patients and Persons with Disabilities from all over Europe and indirectly with all their members, on a personal level.
• The Professional Organizations of PHYSIOTHERAPISTS and KINESIOLOGISTS from all over Europe, and indirectly with all their members and their personnel on a personal level.
• The Centers of Rehabilitation from all over Europe and indirectly with all their members and their personnel on a personal level.
• The Trade Unions of Doctors from all over Europe, and indirectly with all their members and their personnel on a personal level.
• Universities and Research Centers from all over Europe, and indirectly with all their members and their personnel on a personal level.
• Mass media of local and Pancyprian range, and International Web Pages.
ACTIONS & SPECIFIC OBJECTIVES
• ACTION COMMITTEE:
The action committee will promote the active involvement of the organizations and all our partners in the overall operation and will put the project into action (quality framework). It will also do the follow up of the project among the participants and all those who will be indirectly involved (impact).
• THEMATIC STUDY VISITS:
Our aim will be to put our partners in direct conduct with the Cypriot reality. We will organize debates and will study intra personal conduct with Cypriot Physiotherapists, Kinesiologists Nurses, Volunteers and Persons with Disabilities and Patients.
• THEMATIC WORKSHOPS:
The Basic European Principles and the Human Rights of Persons with Disabilities and Patients will be presented in the Workshops (Reflection of E.U. values & citizenship); these subjects will be discussed during the visits, by the spokesmen and by any of the partners who might want to do so.
Furthermore, time will be given for dialogs and propositions, on a pre programmed coordination of the organizations that will be present, so that the network will acquire Sustainable Development and follow up.
• SEMINAR:
Emphasis to Networking will be given at this seminar, of all present organizations, to the exchange of addresses and to the promotion of ideas for a next project which will be a continuance of the present one.
At least four different European approaches will be discussed, during this seminar, concerning different disabilities, with the participation of at least 100 persons, who have an active involvement in the subject and Central and Local authorities.
• PRODUCTION OF MATERIAL:
Within the framework of this project, every spokesman will produce his own material (DVD), and will publish his own method in two languages, at least (in English and his native language). Then all the material will be put together into one manual, which will be distributed to all partners (transfer of innovation). The conclusions will be published and, after they are translated into the native languages of the partners, they will be distributed in all the countries of the partners. This dissemination will be the responsibility of the partners (Creativity of European Added Value).
• DISSEMINATION OF THE RESULTS:
The dissemination of the results will be done with the active involvement of the partners in the Mass Media of their countries (visibility), just like the publication of the results, and on their Web Pages (if they have one). On the part of the organizers, the dissemination will be done through the following ways:
1. Through our Web Page www.esfcyprus.eu
2. Through our electronic News Letter (In English and in Greek)
3. Through our Greek language bulletin
4. Through the Cypriot Mass Media
5. Through articles in Cyprus
6. Through International Web Pages (web pages of our partners).
• EVALUATION :
This will be done with questioners which will be given to the partners.
THE ROLE OF THE PARTNERS
All partners will have an active role both during the workshops but also during the study visits with their ACTIVE PARTICIPATION.
Those partners who would want so, they might present their innovating idea on the subject of rehabilitation.
